Chairs began to line the sidewalks over the weekend in anticipation of Tuesday’s Grand Slam Parade in downtown Williamsport. The parade, in its 19th year, will feature twenty teams that will compete in the 78th Little League World Series, which kicks off Wednesday in South Williamsport. It will begin at 5 p.m. at Maynard and West Fourth Streets and move down Fourth Street to end at Market Street.
Over 100 groups and businesses will take part in Tuesday’s parade. The grand marshall is Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and former Phillies pitcher Billy Wagner. It will be televised on WNEP beginning at 5:30 p.m
